L.III - ADVANCED Drone Program

Drone training Drone Classes Mumbai Robotics agriculture drone camera

Who is the course for?

Primarily meant for those aspiring to take up a career in Drone engineering, Support or Drone Operations (as UAV pilots / photographers / industry users etc) and seeking to go in to details of all aspects of UAVs, right from principles of flights, flight mechanics, relevant drone regulations, fields of drone commercial applications and possible career options.

Targeted Outcomes:

  • Fully functional, flyable micro, highly scalable drone (quadcopter) that can be upgraded for various payloads
  • Required logical & practical skills to build drones and neuro-motor skills to control them
  • Skills to use common S.T.E.M. tools such as multi-meters, soldering iron, multi-tool sets, programming environments, sensors etc.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design and execute all kinds of complex projects independently
  • Solid, experience based, understanding of numerous S.T.EM. domains from robotics, electronics, coding, geography, complex math, drones etc.
  • Required skills to upgrade drone and use it for complex missions (subject to DGCA rules & regulations)

Core Modules:

  • Drone types and usage
  • Flight controls and physics / Drone technology fundamentals and essential theory
  • Understanding the primary tools required for electronic / science projects
  • Building a drone – full practical sessions
  • Understanding, programming & Using multi-channel, stick based remote control systems
  • Simulator based flying sessions / Overview of UAV applications, mission planning and mission programming
  • Flight planning & flying a quadcopter
  • How to design & upgrade quadcopter for specific missions
  • Relevant drone rules and regulations / Future career possibilities

Course Duration:

  • 80 hours of Self Paced Learning, actual build, simulator & theory sessions
  • Sessions can be customized over a 4-6 week period based on requirements

Evaluation and Certification:

Based on a combination of Written, Simulator & Flight Tests*

* While all our courses cover DGCA regulations, DGCA & MoA currently do not provide any certification on drone building for educational purposes

Is This Level Right for Me?

This course is meant for anyone above 18 years of age with an inclination towards drone usage or technology.

The core modules presented at this level provide the skills and knowledge to not only actually build and fly a fully functional, payload carrying drone safely; but also provide the core skills on usage of relevant tools, advanced flight principles, relevant drone / UAV rules & regulations, commercial applications & exploring career options.
