The L.II - CORETECH - V DRONE PROGRAM

Who is the course for?

The CORETECH - V Program is a specially designed, intermediate course for those who only want to use a drone for aerial photography or do FPV flying. The program allows individuals to learn core drone concepts and  master flying by building their own low cost aerial photography platform that can be upgraded at will.

The hands-on course covers relevant core principles from aeronautics, robotics, electronics,  flight controls, flight safety, drone regulations Etc. that are critical for those serious about aerial photography.

Designed around the SB250 drone platform, the program provides students the flexibility to choose certain components based on  their budget, experience and requirements.

Targeted Outcomes:

  • Ownership of a fully functional MRPA category, scalable drone (quadcopter)
  • Required logical & practical skills to build drones / robots and neuro-motor skills to control them
  • Basic Program Management Skills
  • Supervised, Safe Skill Development On Usage Of Numerous Tools Like Soldering Iron, Multi-meter, Rotary Tools, Drilling Machine, Heat Gun Etc to help you build, maintain and repair your drone.
  • Practical usage of radio based control systems, sensors, servos, BLDCs, ESCs etc.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design and upgrade drone for aerial photography / FPV
  • Skills & knowledge for varied career options in the Drone / Robotics & Related industries especially drone photography
  • Option to choose parts / modules based on budget, experience and skill level

Core Modules:

  • Drone types and usage
  • Drone technology fundamentals & essential theory
  • Electronic & Mechanical Components of a drone
  • Understanding the primary tools required to a photography / FPV drone
  • Building a drone – full practical sessions
  • Understanding & Using multi-channel, stick based remote control systems
  • Simulator based flying sessions
  • Flight safety, tuning and flight controls / Flight planning & flying a quadcopter
  • Overview of relevant drone rules and regulations / Future possibilities

Course Duration:

  • 40 hours of Self Paced Learning, actual build, simulator & theory sessions
  • Sessions can be customized over a 2-4 week period based on requirements

Evaluation and Certification:

Based on a combination of Written, Simulator & Flight Tests*

* While all our courses cover DGCA regulations, DGCA & MoA currently do not provide any certification on drone building for educational purposes

Is This Level Right for Me?

The L.II - CORETECH - V Course is meant for anyone above 14 years of age with an inclination towards drone photography or FPV flying.

This level is aimed at providing the skills and knowledge to not only actually build & fly a fully functional drone safely; but also enables the ownership of a highly scalable drone that can be used for aerial photography or FPV flying on a restricted budget.
