L.I - INTRODUCTORY Course - Drones + Robotics
Who is the course for?
Meant for students and adults looking to buy, fly or build drones or getting in to robotics.
Targeted Outcomes:
- Solid understanding of what drones are and the various types and categories
- Overview of all relevant drone laws and regulations including need for license
- Required practical skills / neuro-motor skills ((simulator based) to fly drones of various types
- Ability to select various components, kits, drones based on usage
- Exposure to numerous S.T.EM. domains from robotics, electronics, coding, geography, complex math and how these come together
Core Modules:
- Drone types and usage
- Drone technology fundamentals & essential theory
- Electronic & Mechanical Components of a drone
- Understanding & Using multi-channel, stick based remote control systems
- Simulator based flying sessions
- Basic flight safety and flight controls / Flight planning & flying a quadcopter
This course is conducted in workshop mode and includes hands-on simulator flying sessions
Course Duration:
- 2 days spanning a total of 12 hours or 6 hours / day
- Course can be done over a single week-end
Evaluation and Certification:
Based on a combination of Written and Simulator Tests
